About Us

In 2017, City Motivators founder Felicia Walker opened a dollar store called City Dollar. Recognizing a disconnect between the community residents, youth, and local businesses. She organized various community events, entrepreneur pop-ups, workshops, provided free school supplies, a warming center for the homeless, and free art classes for kids, all within the City Dollar store. During the relocation of City Dollar in November of 2019, Felicia discovered her true purpose for serving the youth and communities in need.

In 2020, City Motivators founded a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to educating at-risk youth and striving to eliminate hopelessness in underserved communities through mentorship and community engagement. City Motivators programs include the Chi Youth Leadership Mentoring Program, College Essential Care Kit Program, and Outreach Community Services.

We envision educated and hopeful youths, communities free of violence, resources are plentiful, and residents collectively engaged in cultivating the community and city.
